fall is my favorite season. (spring is a very close second though)
why you ask? for me it's always been the most exciting and happier times of the year, because it's when a new school year would begin and i'd get to see everyone again, it's the beautiful transition to better outfits and not sweating profusely all the time, and it's the basically the start of all the festivities that continue throughout the year!
i've since moved back home after graduating *sigh* - aside from this small post-grad slump i'm going thru, i guess it's nice to finally have some more chill time to blog/write/read/binge watch. i'm hella missing college already and the convenience of seeing/going out with friends so easily. but all good things must come to an end, right? i fucking hate that quote
but instead of talking about how sad i am lol, i wanna reminisce over this past year and share my favorite memories wit ya'll ~
fall quarter is always the most fun! i think this past fall was the best one yet. not only because i moved out and was living on my own and closer to campus, but also because ya girl finally turned 21 ayyyyeee.
i would say this year was definitely a year of many firsts.
i went to my first Camp Flog Gnaw with my besties Tim and Marjie and some other friends. it was at the LA coliseum by USC. i like flog gnaw a lot because the artists are mostly hip hop/rap - guaranteed a good, ratchet time. i think we only went one day of the two-day festival, but it was still worth!
- the internet
- mr. carmack
(i don't remember any more lol oops)
i think a week after flog gnaw was my birthday - spent in VEGAS!
#SOS = #saveoursandy, definitely one for the books. although it wasn't my first vegas trip, it definitely paved the way for a lot more lol.
we stayed at the cosmopolitan fo da freeeee s/o my aunties, (attempted to) see lil jon on friday LOL and saw diplo on saturday. SO FUN :')
vegas is always the best crazy ass time <333 love ya'll:
fast-forward to December...
OMFG NYE was the best time i've had at an LED rave ever lolol. met a lot of new friends and everything went pretty smoothly.
in February Tim and i went to Shaun White's Air + Style in LA. this year it was also at the coliseum again. when i went the year before it was at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. i think they improved by a ton - setup was better, with more attractions/food/merch too. i love Air + Style because the vibe isn't exactly like Coachella but more like a city festival vibe. the people are more chill and less there for the scene lol. it has a strong LA feel to it, and it's cool how it's also a boarding competition at the same time.
i think we only got to see A-trak and J Cole LOL bcuz we were late/too drunk idk. but for what we did get to see, it was all really fun. i will definitely be returning to air + style!
annnd that does it for Fall and Winter! check up for more about Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, etc!
just some shit i do/wanna talk about
